Activities
We are aware of the fragility of the natural environment, and with love we take care of the watercourses and their surroundings. Our activities in the area of environmental protection mainly include the prevention of pollution and harmful interventions in the ecosystem, as well as care for the improvement of the ecological status of waters. We pay special attention to working with young people, because we are aware of the importance of their presence, in shaping a common future.
History
By the time 1953, fishermen from Škofja Loka made their first steps on their way to their fishing family. Until then, all fishermen who officially hunted in Sora, Poljani Sori and Selški Sori were members of the Ljubljana Fisheries Cooperative. Among these members, the desire to establish a fishermen’s society operating in the Sora river basin was growing.
